One day, an old friend of
mine shared with me an idea which literally brought me down to earth. He had
read a very dynamic book written by Robert T.Kiyosaki (THE CASHFLOW
QUADRANT-Rich Dad's Guide to Financial Freedom). He made me realized that I
created my own job. After reading and understanding the concepts as expounded
by Kiyosaki ...it dawn on me that.... Hey, in namesake I can be called Boss
but..........if I Don’t
Work I Don’t Get Paid.
It make me realized that I
am caught between the E and S-Quadrants ...Employee and Self-Employed Quadrants (as defined by Kiyosaki).
Talk about Security...and this was right during the last Asian Financial
Meltdown...a period where many firms were shaken.
It dawn on me that there's
no such thing as Business or Job Security. A wrong business decision could
literally bring my organization to its knees. And statistics show
that many businesses floundered during the owner’ first year of
operation....with as much as 50% no longer in operation within 5 years. And
many of these failures were due to lack of capital to sustain the business
development years. That’s a frightening thought....
